The Summit Sisters Reach the Top of Mount Kilamanjaro

They did it!

The Summit Sisters, Amy Remington, right, and Bethany Hartshorn, left, climbed to the top of Mt. Kilamanjaro, Tanzania, Africa.  Bethany was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis 12 years ago and has not let this diagnosis stop her. Her motto is, "I might have MS, but MS doesn't have me."  Amy has been her rock through all the races they do and together they are unstoppable. Amy works in occupational therapy and amazingly worked throughout COVID. She has dealt with COVID and her patients with a continued smile knowing she is helping them get better every day.  Together, they know that "the more money they raise, the more help they can do."

They successfully raised $10,000 with a matching gift from the Mandell Family Foundation.  The flag they are holding lists the names of the donors who supported their efforts and will hang in the Mandell MS Center at Mount Sinai Rehabilitation Hospital.
