St. Paul’s Catholic School Sewing Club held a blanket and stuffed animal drive for the Greater Hartford Children’s Advocacy Center (GHCAC). On Friday March 9, 2018, GHCAC interns and family advocate were welcomed at the giving event. A presentation was prepared which illustrated the centers dedicated approach, mission and services. Furthermore, educational literature was distributed to the students and staff. Every child who comes to the center gets to pick out a stuffed animal to hold and keep them company while they are here at the center. The stuffed animal provides comfort and normalcy which can help reduce the child’s stress, discomfort, and fear. St. Paul’s Catholic School Sewing Club’s generous donation of stuffed animals and blankets will place a smile on the faces of the children that visit the center.
