Several years ago the Finke Family created a third party event called the Sprint for Saint Francis. In conjunction with the Hartford Marathon, James and Tiffany recruited runners to run in the marathon and raise donations for the Hema de Silva, M.D. Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Saint Francis. In addition to raising funds, those non-runners and family members knitted hats and blankets for our tiniest patients. Due to COVID the 2020 Hartford Marathon did not take place but the knitting continued and this past week the family delivered 321 hats and 18 blankets to Saint Francis.
This year the Finkes hope to host their event again and reach $100,000 in donations.
