Kris Coutu, a breast cancer survivor, has been running and hosting events to raise funds for the Saint Francis Hospital free mammogram program. In September, her friends, family and community of Moosup raised almost $3,000. She is grateful for the care she received from Saint Francis and understands that without her mammogram, her cancer might not have been diagnosed. Her hope is that all women will receive a mammogram as early detection is the best way to beat cancer.
