My Good Deed
Each year, the Auxiliary of Saint Francis Hospital memorializes September 11, 2001 with an act of kindness and generosity for beneficiaries related to Saint Francis Hospital. It is hard to believe that this year marks the 20th Anniversary of the tragic events of 9/11. In honor and remembrance, we hope you will join us and “do a good deed” to support this year’s beneficiary, the Joan C. Dauber Food Pantry and be a part of this National Day of Service and Remembrance.
The Joan C. Dauber Food Pantry is located in Hartford on the campus of Mount Sinai Rehabilitation Hospital. Created in 1976, it was the first food pantry to be located in a hospital setting. The program is solely operated through the efforts of volunteers and is coordinated by Community Health and Well-Being. Currently, the Food Pantry serves approximately 13-14,000 meals each month. Our goal is to raise funds to allow the Food Pantry to provide its services to the food insecure in our Saint Francis community. Given what we have seen happen over the last 18 months, we can’t imagine a cause more deserving of our support.

We hope you will join the Auxiliary and our commitment to make a positive difference by donating to help support the needs of the food insecure right here in our local community through the Joan C. Dauber Food Pantry, while also remembering the tragic events and lives lost on September 11, 2001.
