Barbara Gordon's 2021 Non-Back Yard BBQ Event

This is a fake date as the event is not taking place; just taking donations.

Dear Family and Friends,

I hope you and your families are doing well and continuing to stay safe. As we struggled our way through 2020, I was hopeful we were going to double the fun in 2021, and though the CT guidelines have been slightly lifted for an outdoor event and there are strong ongoing efforts getting the community at large vaccinated, my annual fundraising event is still too large a gathering for it to be done in a safe manner at this time.

Thirteen years ago, I was a cancer patient at Saint Francis Hospital and my life was saved by Dr. Allan Mayer and Dr. James Frank. More recently, other immediate family members also received life-saving care at Saint Francis. For these reasons and so many more, I remain deeply committed to supporting Saint Francis Hospital. Now more than ever, in the face of what the healthcare workers have endured, I am reaching out to you once again, for your continued support of my “2021 Non-Back Yard BBQ Event”.

I know firsthand through my daughter Tracy, a Saint Francis Hospital nurse, how traumatic and exhausting this past year has been. It is for these doctors, nurses, CNAs, housekeeping staff, and all healthcare heroes that I ask for your contribution in honor of those who have been on our frontline for over the past year. As always, your donations will benefit the Karl J. Krapek, Sr. Comprehensive Women’s Health Center at Saint Francis.  Please click here to donate.

I look forward to celebrating in-person with you, in 2022!!

With sincere gratitude, hope and love,

Barbara
